Online Orders:

The PayPal is the payment service Shadow Poetry uses for its Shopping Cart needs. You will need to be a member of PayPal before you are allowed to check out.

Because PayPal does not offer a way to distinguish between shipping costs for US, Canada, and International orders, Shadow Poetry has provided a special "Add to Cart" button on each page for purchasing the item from your location.

You will also notice that shipping costs are automatically added to cost of each item in the shopping cart. This is not a mistake, and we are not over charging you. Your shipping field will always reflect a "$0.00" balance. This makes it easier for Shadow Poetry to calculate your shipping costs by adding them to the price of an item in your cart, and easier for you, the customer, to know exactly how much you will be paying for your entire order.

A shipping cost chart has been provided under each item in the Shadow Poetry Online Store, as well as on the Shipping page for complete and exact shipping costs for USA, Canadian, and International orders.

Mail Orders:

Shadow Poetry offers mail orders for shoppers who prefer not to pay via credit card. Printable order forms are available on each item page. Should you not have a printer, you may request an order form be mailed to you. See the Shipping or Order by Mail page for more details.

Make personal checks payable to: "Shadow Poetry". Cash payments are accepted, but will be sent at your own risk. All payments must be in the form of US Dollars/Funds. Shadow Poetry is not responsible for lost orders or payments. Bounced/Returned checks will be subjected to a $20.00 fee.

Estimated Ship Time:

All orders received online or through the mail are usually filled and shipped within 1 - 2 business days by USPS unless a product is temporarily out of stock.

We will reply to your email usually within a few hours, or we can call you should you provide us with a phone number. Shadow Poetry's business hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday - Tuesday (Central Standard Time).

Bulk Orders:

Bulk orders are for US residents only on mail and online orders. When purchasing bulk orders, 6 copies of the same title, there is a small discount and/or free shipping on these types of orders. If the chapbook retails at $12.00, then the bulk purchase price is $72.00, $10.00, the bulk purchase price is $60.00, and $8.00, the bulk price is $48.00. Sorry, bulk orders do not mean discounts and/or free shipping on 6 different chapbook titles.

Coupons:

Shadow Poetry coupons may only be redeemed through mail order purchases, and are not redeemable for cash. Coupons must accompany the mail order to receive credit. Coupons may not be copied, duplicated, or doubled.

Gift Certificates:

Shadow Poetry Gift Certificate are good towards purchases of Shadow Poetry and Shadows Ink products advertised in the Shadow Poetry online store. These certificates can also be turned in for Shadow Poetry Contest entry fees or payment towards Shadow Poetry's Community of Poets memberships. Gift Certificates may only be redeemed through mail order purchases, and are not redeemable for cash. A mail order form will be mailed with each gift certificate for your convenience. If ordering through PayPal, you will be able to personalize your gift certificate on another page provide by Shadow Poetry. If ordering by mail, please use the "special instructions" box to personalize your gift certificate. Gift Certificates are valid up to one year after purchase. When gift certificates are claimed via mail orders, and the total amount ordered is less than the gift certificate amount, the customer will receive a credit good towards their next purchase of any Shadow Poetry or Shadows Ink item. Gift Certificate must accompany the mail order to receive credit.

Returns:

Items may be returned within 10 days of purchase for a full refund, but must be in perfect condition. Shipping costs to return items will be at the expense of the buyer. Books/chapbooks, which have been bent, creased, torn, cracked, written in, or appear to have been previously read may not be returned for a refund. Shadow Poetry is not responsible for lost payments, orders, or any product damaged during shipping.
