• "My experience in getting my Poems in print was simply wonderful. I found those at Shadow Poetry so very helpful throughout the whole process from beginning to end. It was really like the feeling of love; a ticklish sensation around my heart that could not be scratched. When I received my chapbooks, I was so excited it was hard to contain my emotions as the quality was much more than I had anticipated. Many thanks to Marie Summers, along with everyone at Shadow Poetry for their compassion and excellence." - Paul C. Hassler, author of Poems From The Heart

• "This was my first experience publishing my poetry. The folks at Shadow Poetry made it simple and almost painless. I was very pleased with the ease of getting in print. Upon receipt of the finished product I was absolutely overjoyed with its professional look and the beauty of the cover! Proceed with confidence!" - Dr. Larry Vern Newman, author of Poems of Faith

• ..."And the chapbook.... I don't know where to start. I was expecting a little flimsy thing and it is so beautiful. You do wonderful work Shadow Poetry. It is truly classy. I love the cover and the print type and the construction of it. To me it is more like a small poetry book and not the chapbooks that I have seen, as these are so beautifully done..." - Floria Kelderhouse, overjoyed customer

• "I currently have two chapbooks printed through Shadows Ink Publications, and I am thoroughly delighted with both. The first chapbook was coauthored with my mother, Emily Romano, entitled Faery Folk & Fireflies, which had won Shadow Poetry’s Biannual Chapbook Competition in June 2007. Mom and I are very happy with the crisp printing of the cover art which we designed ourselves, the blueberry sheer inserts, my interior illustrations and the final overall presentation of the whole project. It was a lovely experience for us to share together and we have had wonderful feedback on this chapbook which has become a treasured family keepsake. My second chapbook, just off the presses in August 2008, entitled Reflections of The Inner Eye, is another example of the excellent printing craftsmanship you can expect from Shadows Ink Press at the helm of Marie Summers. It contains over 30 original art images, many in color, which are printed with expertise in high resolution, illustrating over 40 poems. My entire experience was upbeat and creative with Shadows Ink. Any assistance I needed with layout was right there at my fingertips, and my questions were answered promptly; details carried out professionally and efficiently. I plan to publish again with Shadows Ink Publications and I highly recommend this outstanding publisher to everyone." - Jan Turner, coauthor of Faery Folk & Fireflies; author of Reflections of The Inner Eye.

• "Shadow Poetry did indeed a wonderful job producing my poetry chapbook "Timeless Without Time" and presenting me as "Featured Author" in the SP Shopping section. They have always been a fair and competent partner; I can honestly recommend Shadow Poetry to all upcoming poets! " - Timothy McNeal, author of Timeless Without Time

• "When I was approached by Shadow Poetry to have my book published, I was thrilled. That feeling was nothing compared to my pleasure with the finished product. So professional, so many choices available, and Marie is an accomplished artist for the covers. I'm overjoyed with my book. The have given me the joy of seeing my work in print and available for sale. This has encouraged me to continue in my writing and pursue my dreams. Thanks Shadow Poetry." - Cheri Anher, author of Prairie Clippings

• "Last summer Shadow Poetry published my chapbook Whispers From The Hall. Shadow Poetry and staff, after accepting my work, made it very easy to for me to put together a volume which I can only describe as handsome (from the selection of fonts to the final edit). The process was not as tedious as I had originally envisioned. My questions were answered readily, and changes I had in mind were easily accommodated. Among the local poetry circles the book has been received with enthusiasm. I hope to work again with Shadow Poetry. Many thanks." - Kenneth Wanamaker, author of Whispers From The Hall

• "This is the first Chapbook that I have received. I would like to complement Shadow Poetry for a fine professional job. I am very pleased with the quality and content of this publication. To all the authors that are in this book, I would like to complement them on their good work. All of the poetry inside is superb. I will enjoy this book for a long time." - Don Guinnip, valued customer

• "I am writing about the memorial book that was arranged by Shadow Poetry for my son, George, who passed on two years ago. I just received my order last week, and I cannot say enough about this chapbook. My family is so pleased with it. The cover work is so beautiful, yellow with my sons picture on it. And the poems that I have written for him on the inside were done so wonderfully. I had tears when I received my order and first viewed the book. This is not something that I would sell, so I bought them up myself to give to family and friends. All of Shadow Poetry's ideas were incorporated to make a lovely memorial, and I cannot thank her enough for her creative work and for their kindness. I am very pleased." - Floria Kelderhouse, author of My Inner Soul

• "Shadow Poetry has made my dream of seeing my poetry in print - (chapbook - Silhouette and Shadow) come true! Shadow Poetry is a wonderful organization that cherishes the writings of poets and the people who enjoy savoring their words. Thank you Shadow Poetry and staff for all that you do for all of us!" - Keleigh Girnas, author of Silhouette and Shadow

• "Shadow Poetry, Shadows Ink Publications, and all involved in turning my dreams into reality are to be commended on the excellent and highly professional manner in which they present this wonderful opportunity to poets and writers. My chapbook is absolutely beautiful, and is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The unique way in which I wanted to present my work was accepted without hesitation, and working with my editor was not only a pleasure but lots of fun. Thank you very much Shadow Poetry and the rest of the team. " - Debra Lynelle Nusco, author of A Fractured Fairytale

• "I am so happy my friend Floria introduced me to Shadow Poetry. I have been able to progress as a poet here and share my works with other poets in the wonderful little community we have been provided here, and I've had the chance to be published in some Shadow Poetry chapbooks and in Volume 3 of the anthology, Before the Last Shadow Fades. I have been very pleased with the quality of all these books from the artistry of the covers to the beautiful look of the inside pages. I have purchased all three volumes of the Shadow Ink Series as well as other members' chapbooks, and I love how beautiful they are. I have seen chapbooks put out by poets in other places, and those I saw did not compare in quality to what I have seen here. I was particularly pleased with the way our editor, Marie, worked with Floria and me to create a chapbook we could be proud of. We were able to choose a very pleasing color, cover design and script, and have our poetry presented the way we wanted. All the chapbooks I have purchased through Shadow Poetry are superb, but I especially like the one that was done for me and my friend!" - Andrea Dietrich co-author of Friendship Garden

• "Shadow Poetry is the place for poets who aspire to improve their craft and be printed in "permanent ink." When I was awarded chapbook publication as a result of winning a contest, Marie Summers was most kind and helpful to me. She replied to each email and answered every question in a timely fashion. I didn't know anything about ISBN's, copyrighting, or how to format a chapbook, and Marie has guided me through the entire process from beginning to end. Shadow Poetry is about more than self-publication though. They have creative writing challenges, supply educational information on the site, sponsor several contests, and offer a variety of poetry to read and enjoy both online and in print. I strongly suggest poets to explore all aspects of Shadow Poetry and experience the quality." - Poppy Hullings, author of Reflecting in Words

• "WOW! What an absolutely beautiful chapbook of poetry. An excellent publication of my personal thoughts and feelings. My greatest gratitude goes to the Summers for making thirty years of my hard work and determination of becoming a published poet a reality. Thank You! Thank You! I am forever grateful! Thank You!" - Sally Ann Roberts, author of Confetti Leaves

• "Thanks so much Shadow Poetry and all the writers who contribute, read and lend their support to your this site and to my muse! :) After the shock subsided for winning the Shadows Ink 2003 contest, the Shadow Poetry staff was such a joy to work with and I am very satisfied with the cover, layout and font choices Shadow made available to really 'personalize' my first chapbook. You've surpassed my expectations in delivery and publishing and I am thrilled with the results! :) I hope others will agree that SP makes it fun to publish! Thanks for the opportunity to share my works with others!" - Lori Kanter, author of Chimerical Cleo

• "Though I'd been through the chapbook publishing process before (elsewhere) and didn't especially look forward to doing it again, Marie made it pretty painless. She always offered options, responded promptly, and was most cooperative in helping me achieve what I was trying to accomplish. I would recommend Shadow to anyone wanting to publish a chapbook, and the web site is one of the most user-friendly ones I've encountered. And as I told Marie, I was sorry to lose her as an "e-mail buddy"." - Debby Cooper, author of Observations of a Dinosaur

• "Thank you, my books arrived safe and sound and are just wonderful. I have had many wonderful comments from my friends and family. You did a beautiful job on them and I want you to know how much I appreciate it." - Barbara Humiston, author of My Story - Mastectomy, Reconstruction, Implant

• "I still think Marie and Shadow Poetry are tops! No doubt that is why I went back for two more chapbooks after Observations of a Dinosaur." - Debby Cooper, a happy camper after three chapbooks, author of Chortle Blossoms and Talking Back

• "Are you considering doing a chapbook? Shadow Poetry and Shadows Ink is the very best! The publishing team is a dream to work with, and the results show it." - Emily Romano, author of The Ties That Bind

• "I received my package of chapbooks after only eight days of ordering. You are truly amazing. I have to honestly say that I am in awe of your services. It was the easiest most pain free process I ever thought possible. And, to go above and beyond the call by having all the copyright info completed, with extra copies etc... is just wonderful. The chapbooks are of the best quality I've ever seen in a chapbook - and I see and have seen hundreds, doing what I do. I absolutely love the books and I also want to thank you for the ordering page on your site. What an awesome marketing tool. You have done a spectacular job and I will not only be ordering from you again, hopefully very soon but I will also be promoting your services. Thank you again for your time and efforts with Red Lanterns." - Joanne Olivieri, Author of Red Lanterns

• "Still a happy customer after five chapbooks with Shadow Poetry, the most recent being "Rays of Light" and "Feline/Canine." Marie Summers, editor of Shadow Poetry/Shadows Ink, performs above and beyond the call of duty, and she does it consistently. I recommend Shadow as a chapbook publisher to anyone who asks. Many thanks once again!" - Debby Cooper, author of Feline/Canine

• "You have been wonderful to work with! And speedy too! You have produced a book I can be proud of. Thank you!" - Larry Newman, author of Reflection: Poems of Faith

• "Shadow Poetry is a chapbook publisher, magazine publisher, resource center etc... As a writer I was looking to publish my first poetry chapbook and literally researched publishers for a couple of months. I decided Shadow Poetry was best suited to my needs. They had a lot to offer and also let me be in control of the entire process. A myriad of styles, fonts, covers and all sorts of choices available was what sold me on their services. Since this was my first book I had no idea what to expect. Marie, the head hauncho there was extremely patient, helpful and efficient during the entire process. I did not expect to have the book published for at least a month after I emailed the submission. To my complete and utter amazement my chapbooks were at my door within eight days of Shadow Poetry receiving my manuscript. They are just awesome!!!

If you are a writer of any type, you should check them out. They not only publish poetry but can publish other styles of writing as well. Their website is a cornucopia of information and resources. The best decision I've ever made going with them. The result, well after one year almost to the day, my book has been on their bestseller list and has just won an award for best chapbook of the year 2005 by a local magazine. Of course my writing had much to do with it however I have Shadow Poetry to thank for it - BIG TIME!" - Joanne Olivieri, author of Red Lanterns

• "I wanted to wait a bit before submitting this testimonial--just to evaluate what people who have been purchasing my book have to say. The feedback has been nothing but positive. It really must be the beautiful little work of art I imagined it would be. Thank you Shadows Ink." - Theresa Hickey, author of Raising the Child

• "I couldn't believe it! I just couldn't believe it! "Petals in the Wind" is absolutely breathtaking! I want to thank Marie Summers here at Shadow Poetry for bringing together such a superb volume of my poetry. There's not enough words to express the feelings I have for what she has done with this chapbook. "Petals in the Wind" is indeed a treasure trove of splendid poetry! And with Sandy Ellis' talents as well. Her delightful sketches are like the icing on the cake. Without her talents this book would not have been complete. So to her I give my greatest gratitude. For anyone who has read my first chapbook "Confetti Leaves" I highly recommend reading "Petals in the Wind." It is truly an eye-opening experience. Thank You!" - Sally Ann Roberts, author of Confetti Leaves and Petals in the Wind.

• "The cover really jumps out at you thanks to the way you framed it so very nicely. I am just delighted with the way the chapbook looks online. Thank you a million times! I can't wait to do another book with Shadow Poetry!" - Emily Romano, author of Faeries Forever
