Entwined with the thorns
vibrant purple flowers stand
despite harsh jabbing.

Prarie wind pushes -
slender grass bows in anguish
until the harvest.

Willow's roots dig deep
the lucky boughs find water
to dip their tips in.

When the wind comes by
run fast - it could be your chance
to fly the kite high!

On an unknown trail
majestic maples tower -
even the cedars.

She basks on the bench
to contemplate needs and wants
bus comes to deliver.

Prior to the rain 
unneeded pine needles fall -
to blanket the ground.

Along my journey -
I am walked to the doorway
to soar in the sun!

Yellow moon rises 
over the great white mountain
top - in reverence.

The trash can is held -
for my empty coffee cup
graciously it drops...

Old alpine hemlock
prevail...to produce green growth
on ancient branches.

Forceful mountain falls
forge on crevice plants -
they flourish in pain.

In a need for space
she gently alters my mat -
sitting fat man laughs.

In cayote's field
vultures arrive from the south -
for a summer trip.
