How long have you been writing poetry?: I have been writing poetry since middle school. My mother told me that I use to sing my feelings when I was little. I guess that is a form of poetic expression at an early age.

What/Who inspires you to write?: I love Harrison Fisher because he mixes poetry and art together. My favorite vintage title is American Beauties. Poe inspires me too. Everyone can identify with his failures and suffering. His poetry and short stories take us to a dark place that stirs in all of us.

Favorite Quote or Motto: My brother's quote to me, "We are all afraid, but don't let that stop you. So just do it and life gets easier."
